Trotz der Verbote und Einschränkungen, die es an vielen Orten dieser Welt gibt, werden wir in den öffentlichen Raum gehen. Dabei ist uns die Sicherheit aller Beteiligten sehr wichtig. Achtet auf euch und eure Umgebung! Es geht nicht darum, die Gefahren des Virus zu ignorieren, sondern jene Gefahren aufzuzeigen, denen Menschen immer, und seit Ausbruch des Virus verstärkt, ausgesetzt sind.
Der 1. Mai ist ein historischer Kampftag der Arbeit. Dieses Jahr ist er umso mehr Aktionstag, um uns aktuellen Grundrechtsverletzungen entgegenzustellen. Konzerne erhalten Rettungsfonds, die Wirtschaft wird hochgefahren. Doch öffentliche, politische Meinungsäußerung bleiben weiterhin enorm eingeschränkt. Auf dem Mittelmeer ertrinken Menschen, Corona dient als Grund, die Rettung und Hilfe zu unterlassen, sie gar zu blockieren. An den EU-Außengrenzen sind Menschen in Lagern eingesperrt und dramatisch steigenden Gesundheitsrisiken ausgesetzt. Es darf nicht sein, dass Gesundheit und Grundrechte wirtschaftlichen Interessen untergeordnet sind. Es darf nicht sein, dass Menschen Asyl- und Menschenrechte verwehrt bleiben. Das alles soll die Neue Normalität sein? Wir lehnen sowohl den Begriff als auch die diskriminierenden Maßnahmen entschieden ab. Unsere Solidarität gilt allen, die unter den jetzigen Umständen leiden. Sie gilt allen, die auch schon vor der Corona-Krise unter dem patriachalen kapitalistischen System gelitten haben.
Gerade jetzt bekommen wir die Folgen unseres kaputten Systems noch härter zu spüren. Denn – sicherer Wohnraum bleibt Luxus. Durch das fehlende Einkommen wird die ohnehin schon schwer bezahlbare Miete unbezahlbar. Und während Hotels leerstehen, werden Wohnungslose und Geflüchtete einem enormen Infektionsrisiko ausgesetzt. Zugleich wird das Zuhause für viele Frauen, Queere und Transpersonen Ort der häuslichen, patriarchalen Gewalt. Profite haben weiter Vorrang vor fair bezahlter Arbeit: die Krise offenbart, welche Arbeit “Systemrelevanz” hat und von wem sie geleistet wird. Dort arbeiten Menschen oft unter schlechten Arbeitsbedingungen und sind ungenügend abgesichert. Über 70 % jener “systemrelevanten” Arbeit wird dabei von Frauen geleistet, eine Situation die tief in gesellschaftliche Strukturen und Lohnverteilung blicken lässt. Wir fordern faire Bezahlung, denn das Klatschen zahlt die Miete nicht!
Am 1. Mai werden wir ein klares Zeichen setzen, solidarisch mit all jenen von uns, die schon viel zu lange ignoriert wurden. Erntehelfer_innen, Arbeitstätige im Sozialbereich, 24 Stunden Pfleger_innen, Supermarktangestellte, Personen im Gesundheitsbereich, Sexarbeiter_innen, undokumentiert und prekär Arbeitende, Kunst und Kulturarbeiter_innen, die tausenden Menschen, die in der Gastronomie ihre, schon zuvor oft schlecht bezahlten und ungenügend abgesicherten, Jobs verloren haben – die Liste ist lang und könnte endlos fortgesetzt werden.
Denn – die Rettungspakete für die oberen Klassen, für die, die in der Villa die Krise aussitzen und teilweise davon profitieren, sind schon geschnürt. Doch die Kosten sollen plötzlich alle zahlen – NEIN wir zahlen nicht die Kosten für Fluglinien und Konzerne! Für uns heißt Solidarität etwas anderes als der “nationale Schulterschluss”. Für uns heißt Solidarität ein gutes Leben für Alle, transnational und global.
Kommt heraus zum 1.Mai!
Wir werden Abstand halten, solidarisch sein, schützende Regeln einhalten. Wir werden gemeinsam und achtsam in den öffentlichen Raum gehen und auf Missstände hinweisen!
Wir lassen uns trotz Maske den Mund nicht verbieten und werden unseren Widerstand mit bunten und vielfältigen Aktionen zum Ausdruck bringen! Wir werden sichtbar und gemeinsam unsere Utopien und konkrete Forderungen auf die Straße tragen.
Um gemeinsam laut zu sein und den Beiträgen Hörbarkeit zu verschaffen, sind alle dazu aufgerufen – falls möglich – Akkuboxen & streamfähige Player zur Demo mitzubringen!
Wir kommen maskiert zur Demo, nehmen Transparente, Schilder, Stöcke und andere Gegenstände mit, die Abstand markieren können.

Viele verweisen gemeinsam auf die Demonstration, auf andere Aktionen, die im Kontext des 1.Mai stattfinden. Wir beziehen uns solidarisch aufeinander und verweisen auf die unterschiedlichen Perpektiven.

In solidarity – come out on 1st of May!

Despite the restrictions and limitations that exist in many places in the world, we will move into public space. The safety of everyone involved is very important to us. Take care of yourself and your surroundings! It is not a matter of ignoring the dangers of the virus, but of pointing out those dangers to which people have always been exposed, and increasingly so since the outbreak of the virus.
May 1st is a historic day of struggle for work. This year it is all the more reason for us to take action to confront current violations of fundamental rights. Corporations receive rescue funds, the economy is getting fired up again. But public, political expression of opinion remains extremely restricted. People are drowning in the Mediterranean, Corona serves as a reason to refrain from rescue and help, even to block it. On the EU’s external borders, people are locked up in camps and exposed to dramatically increasing health risks. Health and fundamental rights must not be allowed to be subordinated to economic interests. It is unacceptable that people should be denied asylum and human rights. Is all this to be the New Normality? We firmly reject both this concept and the discriminatory measures. Our solidarity goes out to all those who are suffering under the present circumstances. It is for all those who suffered under the patriarchal capitalist system even before the Corona crisis.
Right now we are experiencing the consequences of our broken system even harder. Because – safe living space remains luxury. The lack of income makes the already difficult to pay rent unaffordable. And while hotels are empty, homeless people and refugees are exposed to an enormous risk of infection. At the same time, for many women, queers and transgender people, the home is becoming a place of domestic, patriarchal violence. Profits continue to have priority over fairly paid work: the crisis reveals which work has “systemic relevance” and by whom it is done. People there often work under poor working conditions and are insufficiently protected. More than 70 % of the “systemically relevant” work is done by women, a situation that allows a deep insight into social structures and wage distribution. We demand fair payment, because clapping does not pay the rent!
On 1 May we will send a clear signal, in solidarity with all those of us who have been ignored for far too long. Harvesters, social workers, 24-hour caregivers, supermarket workers, health workers, sex workers, undocumented and precarious workers, art and culture workers, the thousands of people who have lost their jobs in the catering industry, which were often badly paid and insufficiently secured before – the list is long and could go on endlessly.
Because – the rescue packages for the upper classes, for those who are sitting out the crisis in the villa and partly profit from it, have already been put together. However, these costs should suddenly be paid by everyone – NO we do not pay the costs for airlines and corporations! For us, solidarity means something different than “national solidarity”. For us solidarity means a good life for all, transnational and global.
Come out on May 1st!
We will keep our distance, act in solidarity, respect protective regulations. We will go together and attentively into the public space and point out injustices!
Despite the mask we will not be silenced and we will express our resistance with colorful and diverse actions! We will visibly and together take our utopian ideas and concrete demands to the streets.
In order to be loud together and to make the contributions audible, everyone is called upon to bring – if possible – battery boxes & stream-capable players to the demo!
We come to the demo masked, take banners, signs, sticks and other objects that can mark the distance.
